We loved and had a Pro Action 9 man tent. It was not called a 'Canberra when we got ours and only had 1 main entrance and 3 bedroom openers. The Canberra I believe is a totally different tent.

Ours was easy to erect with colour coded tabs and poles in around 40 minutes, it didn't have a sewn in groundsheet but a separate one with an extra bit if not using one of bedrooms. It had a skirt on 2 of the pods but not on the one opposite the door and had a large central dome area for sitting and chilling. It went on 10 night camping trips to Cornwall in all weathers, even a storm with winds of 50mph, frightening but no problems.

There was 7 on us. 2 girls in one bedroom, 3 boys in another and me and hubby in the 3rd. The central dome was tall enough to stand up in if you stood in the middle and was shorter than 5ft9'. We never really used the bedroom door openings, although we did open them up for airing on leaving day. Fab tent for £120 in Argos.

We did 10 yrs in ours never leaked. Only changed in 2007 to Hi Gear Voyager 6 to to have one we could actually stand up in properly. Only 8* due to height and groundsheet not sewn in. Otherwise a fabulous tent, with some great memories.

Have owned this for a few years but only actually used it in August 2014. Weather was a little dire for the first few days but it never let any water in, although one of the pods doesn't have a skirt round the bottom like the other 2, not sure if this is an error on mine or it's the same for others.

There was enough room for 4 adults and 3 kids, although the 3 kids were a bit pushed to the limit on a double and a single air bed but they do fit in it did mean climbing on each others beds to get to their own. Large spacious central area with good head height.

There is 2 doors in ours and ours is supposed to be the 9 berth but we only used the one door.

The only downsize I can think of with this tent is the size and most campsites don't let you on, especially Haven sites as it's too big. But we've found some other sites so may get another outing real soon.

Loads of space for only 2 adults and 2 teenagers! Great tent for the money (bought 2 years ago from Argos for £100), as other reviewers mentioned we have had the occasional problem with zips splitting, seem to fix them ok though. Easy to set up, requires some strength to get the tent vertical once the poles are in, packs away into the bag easily. Nice size of living area but I wouldn't like to spend time in it with 9 people!

We purchased this tent for £99.99 back in 2005 when it was on a half price offer at Argos.

It's done well being out every year since then and is still in good condition.

Fits our family of 5 kids, 2 adults and a dog perfectly. However it is a rather large footprint and we are considering changing to a tent in which we don't have to pay huge amounts extra for above standard size pitches (either that or finding more sites with decent size pitches!)

Easy to pitch with 2 adults after the first time you've done it!

This is our first tent we bought it in 2009 however, didn't dare venture out in it until August 2010. It is very easy for 2 of us to put up even though it was blowing a gale while we were doing it. It rained and was windy both nights but it didn't let anything in at all. I agree with previous reviews although it says its a 9 berth I would think 2 people in each pod is comfortable. Maybe downsize one day as it has a large footprint and you have to book superpitches but we are going away again it in soon.

Very easy to put up, took the three of us about 20 mins, with colour coded poles, has three separate sleeping pods quite roomy although I would not like to have three adults in one pod, a bit of a squeeze. We had heavy down pours and some harsh winds and we stayed dry to our amazement, I only sold this on as we downsized

It served its purpose - kept us dryish and sheltered. We used it July 2009 amid horrible rainfall and whilst it stayed dry overhead, the ground sheet started letting water in from its underside. Having since done a lot of tent 'homework,' I am going to sell this one and buy a better quality one with a fully sewn in ground sheet. Alright for its money - you get what you pay for.

First time I have taken my partner and 5 kids camping and I found it very easy to put up, the colour coded poles made the job very easy for the novice I am. The only down side of this tent I found was the fact that the 3 man pod was only spacious for 2 realistically and 1 of the 3 boys sharing one pod ended up sleeping in the centre of the tent.Down pours and strong winds had no effect on this tent and kept us warm and dry and we are planning to use it again various times this year.PS it cost £99 in the Argos sale and is well worth its money compared to other tents of the same specification.

Easy to put up on your own but the zips are cheap and are very prone to coming apart half way up. Easy to put away and fits very well into the bag provided. Withstood high winds very well. A great tent tent for the summer but I wouldn't use it in autumn.

Firstly, please note that the photograph as shown in the Argos catalogue (and above) is NOT the 9-berth. The photo shows more than one entrance (which is the 12-berth version); the 9-berth has just the one entrance (as detailed in the specs below). I write this because it definitely gives a false impression of what it is you're getting when you go for the smaller 9-berth version.

I bought this tent late in the season (2006) as it was the only large sleeper left in Argos's stock and was cheeper than other outlets. I wasn't particulalry taken with the style because of its huge footprint but then I reckoned it would have more room as a plus. The size proved to be costly because we found many campsites rating this as the equivalent of two tents because of the ground space it takes up, thus reducing our options for where to set up.

We camped over a week at two locations with 4 adults and 4 children. I hadn't camped since the Scouts but setting up and taking down the tent was reasonably straight forward due to the colour coded poles and simple design. A bit of 'jiggling' about is required to get the whole structure straight and even, although the more experienced individual will probably find this easier.

The first night we experienced one of the heaviest thunderstorms I can ever recall; a night of torrential downpour intermingled with huge lumps of hail. It had taken me over five years to pursuade my wife to go camping and I thought that this was to be her first and last night ever under canvas! However, the tent stood up to the worst weather that any season could have thrown at it and all in the one night and I didn't hear one murmer from any of the kids either, all of us having been kept safe, dry and comfortable. What more could you ask of a tent?

As far as space inside goes, though each of the 3 compartments sleeps 3 people, we found that this is extremely cramped when, like us, you use camp beds/inflatable mattresses. This leaves no floor space at all and you will need to crawl over one another's bed to get in and out. Head hight in each compartment is also very restriced so adults may find it uncomfortable and cramped. The centre dome has the highest ceiling and the middle of this is the only point where you can actually stand upright in the tent. We also found the entrance to be rather narrow for such a large tent, particulalry with the many of us coming and going through it throughout the day.

Ventilation is fully adjustable and generous so that even damp conditions can be aired out in a short time.

Altogether, though, it's far too big a tent for the room it provides. The next season I bought an Argos Nevada!
